Tyrol, Austria (2) - lawrencebraunstein
Once again I had the opportunity to photograph in this resplendent region of the Austrian Alps. A photographer’s dependency on accommodating weather conditions is often the source of much frustration and this summer’s bouts of meteorological volleyball caught me on several occasions with high hopes and thwarted opportunities. This notwithstanding, I enjoyed the work immensely. The ‘beautifying’ quality of photography has long been one of its most endearing attributes. Lifting visual harmony from within shades of apparent disorder or finding photographic beauty in unexpected corners are among the many treasures which hold one forever lured by the magic of the camera. A scene creates such visual excitement, though the reasons may at first remain vague, only to be revealed later during post-processing. It’s all an exhilarating adventure...but hopefully the photos speak for themselves.
